BUT the mainstream machine does tend to make songs about drug dealing, scamming, objectifying women, killing people and numbing ourselves with all kinds of substances. That effects our brains as adults, not to mention these kids who grow up thinking all that stuff is not just normal, but celebrated? C’mon man.
I’ve hand-picked an extensive library of the hottest Christian Rap and positive hip-hop tracks out there. It’s fresh, grimy, lyrical, old school, new school… but it always slaps. It’s a vibe over here; turn it up!
Psalm 150 verse 3-6 says:
“Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding symbols; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! Praise the LORD!”
